I want to help you live your best life
As someone who has been to therapy herself, I know how hard it can be to take this step. To tell the worst parts of your life to a stranger takes courage and vulnerability. I truly commend you for taking this step.
I started out in the mental health field in 2006 as a music therapist. I initially worked with kids who had developmental disabilities and soon switched over to working in mental health hospitals. While working in the hospitals, I saw what an impact the therapist were making with the clients. I knew I could do more to help people and, in my 30's, I decided to get my graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling. That was the best choice I have ever made.
Once I earned my degree I began counseling and writing functional behavioral assessments for families to help with difficult behaviors in the home. I have worked in community settings, doing therapy in people's homes as well as in school, agency, and group practice settings. I have been lucky enough to work with a wide variety of populations, ages, and mental health struggles. In 2022 I was trained in EMDR and have used that as a main modality in my practice.
The biggest thing that you need to know about me is that I am truly thankful to be in this field. I love what I do and I love watching my clients' lives change. Feel free to call, text, or e-mail me and let's figure out what your best life looks like and how to get you there.
